Christine Eason has been teaching elementary school general music since 2001.  She has a degree in Music Therapy from Michigan State University and a Master's degree in Music Education from University of Michigan.  She has earned National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood vocal music, and her Orff Level I Certification.   She has been Teacher of the Year at both schools where she has established the music program.  She has served as a mentor teacher, county staff development chair, and teacher author and presenter for the state symphony orchestra.  Mrs. Eason helped to write the county-wide common formative assessments for elementary music and has written and received several grants to acquire new and innovative materials for her students.  She is very excited to be part of the Vitathread team and welcomes questions and comments from fellow music educators.
